My first blog post...

I've never thought of myself as a writer, and yet, here I am venturing into one of the most public forms of publishing around. I hope to post updates several times a week once I'm in China. I'll also be including photos I take and upload from my digital camera to my Flickr account. I'm glad you've stopped by to find out what it's all about. I welcome your comments and suggestions.
